About The Braves Athletic Club


The Braves Athletic Club is a non-profit organization operating solely by volunteers under the NorthEast Zone Sports Council and Edmonton Minor Hockey Association. The Braves operates minor hockey programs for young hockey players aged 7 to 12, from the Novice level through to Peewee. Braves Initiation, Bantam & Midget players play under the NorthEast Zone banner.

The Braves area consists of the communities located north of the Yellowhead  including Bannerman, Fraser, Evergreen, South Clareview, Homesteader, Hairsine, Horsehill, Brintnell, and Quarry Ridge.
The Braves executive committee consists of 22 volunteer positions. Elections / appointments are held at an Annual General Meeting held in June of each year. Sub-committees are formed as required to handle special projects such as discipline and evaluations.
